g'day all,

would like one to go from T56 to landcruiser transfer.
i rang castlemaine rod shop. they said they dont do anything with transfer cases.
havent been able to get onto marks 4wd.

CRS have new owners.. and they are less risk taking like rod was... rod was more than willing to try anything new.. but the new owner would rather sell products that they already have made than do some R&D as R&D does cost a fair bit.
Ive had both good and bad experiences with CRS and i cant really comment on them out of respect for the forum.
dellows is another kit manufacturer. i have always used marks but the gen 3 kit i gaot was shite big time. 16mm hole drilled through the flanges so you can use a socket (where a ring spanner would have worked), the centre bearing was free floating and need to be setup but you can't see what its like when its in, the casting is not up to their usual standard, they supplied s/steel fastners in an ally housing really
beside the fact they stress crack and it is designed to move the motor away from the firewall which is not necessary - moving the transfer foward would have been neater but would have required shifter mods i guess.
the dual transfer had no informateion on front shaft mods, wheather it needs another cross member etc and the on shaft was machined with a groove that was too small so i had to cold chisel the circlip into position.
That said the 350 chev to bundera conversion i did using their stuff was top notch and flawless. i guess i get in too early on the kits while they are still teething (2nd dual and prob 5th gen kit)
cheers bru
