Need some experts on CAPS Japan to help me decipher a Paj

Post by PHIL »

Okay, I'm getting closer to bidding on my Jap import Paj. Getting a 91 (NH?) V24WG, and really want the rear locker.

Could I theoretically plug the number into CAPS (Japan) and see whether or not it came with or no? And which number is the chassis number? On the North American CAPS we use a VIN number, but I'm not sure how much of the number to use for the Jap CAPS version, or even how to put it in?

FOr example, here is an auction sheet for a 91 model.

Do I use V24-4001986, or do I need to add the WG at the end of V24? And how do I put it into the program? I see that the chassis text box is split into two. Anyone know what goes where in CAPS?

If I could input chassis codes and see exactly what was in there, it would make it a hell of a lot easier than trying to translate an auction sheet, or get info from exporters...

It's not saying anyting about rear locker.
However this sheett says rust under body, undr battery tray and so on.
Obviously the previous owner(s) was smaoker and has burnt mark and so on.

Thanks. That was just an example of what I have to work with. But I still don't really know what the VIN or chassis number looks like, or how to input it into the Japanese CAPS program...what with the two text boxes next to "Chassis number", etc...

Yo FrankyZ! You out there? :D
