squealing clutch

Post by Nisspatrol »

We got the first real rain of the wet season today, so of coarse i grabbed the kid and headed for the mud, after about an hour of tearin around, i noticed that when i pushed in the clutch there was a squealing noise, (i wasn't riding the clutch), also i noticed when in neatral i'd push in the clutch and the engine revs would lower about 100 rpm, at this stage im having no problems changing gears whatsoever, i have a feeling this will all change, has anyone had this before, any suggestions, and anyone have a price for a new clutch supply only.
cheers heaps

bellhousing is prolly full of mud.. have you tried cleanin it out?

Yup.. sounds like your clutch is on its way out... and lesson #1 dont go in the mud !!!

if you want to go in the mud.. have you considered waterproofing your bellhousing etc to prevent it from happenign again..

eg.. pressurise it.. when doin water/mud crossings so that it stays clean etc.. same goes for a dizzy if you have one.
