Thanks heaps for posting this mate. I am still coding up the XRCC web and updating it every 20 minutes or so. Gee, I hope to have it finished by tomorrow night.
Yeah i know how you feel we have been spending some late nights on this board and Carl(the guy doing the hard work) has been doing allnighters just to get it right.
Hey DirtPig, we hope you will enter a round or two ehn you return to AU. Sounds like you are based in HK. Ah, the memories of Nathan Rd. I spent some assignment time there a few years back. Good tucker, too fast, too many folks but the best no monkey business massage in the known cosmos.
So what are you buying/building when you come home?
Yeah, I will kick off with a project zook to iron out the bugs and learn a few hard lessons before I move onto a bigger project truck.
I don't want to upset the wife too much too quickly.
You should see what Damo has planned / is working on. Very impressive.
I'll be based in HK for another few months. I've been here for about 4 years now. Totally agree with the fast pace, too many people thing. We have a great group of friends over here and I get out of the fray every-weekend and go mountain biking in the countlry parks. There is some awesome riding over here. I also have a f/o huge BBQ and a dedicated drinks fridge. We have as good a time as can be had in a place like this...
BTW, I did meet you at TTC, although you would have been a little pre-occupied at the time I would imagine.
I was back in Oz for about 3 weeks in Aug / Sept to go to TTC and catch up with the folks. Whilst there I caught up with the Newcastle boys for some good wheelin', banjo playin', pig wrestlin' fun... was a great holiday.
Also, the Brisvegas boys have a couple of copies of a TTC CD that I made up, ask Rob / Sam or Tony for a copy.
looking foward to the comp, hopefully it will kick arse and really take off, just dont turn it into a full on s*it fight about rules and "you cant do that" or "have that" and so on.
We need to put on a good show not only for the crowd but for fellow competitors.
You will be HEAVILY PENALISED FOR WINCHING.
The OBJECTIVE IS TO DRIVE THE OBSTACLES WITH FINESSE.
This is a thinkngg person's sport; MUMBO WILL cause you to point out.
We want to nurture the sport with an emphasis on DRIVING with skill, strategy & finesse. Skull dragging will incur MAX Points.
Drugs and alcohol WILL get you banned from competing in XRCC rounds.
The spirit of the XRCC is driving big rock in vehicles that have been developed by their owners to the best of their ability. The rules and classes ensure that you DO NOT REQUIRE A BIG BUDGET TO COMPETE AND DO WELL.
SAFETY: IS PARAMOUNT!
The entry fee is $55 including GST for 3 day stages and 1 night stage. The stages are Xtreme; you will need to THINK. Application of unadulterated MUMBO will break your car and cause you to point out.
