Ok so I got to do my engine mounts.....went and got some and am ready to put them in but the instructions mention drilling spot welds ...so whats the go with that and the drivers side looks easy enough but the passengers side is there a easy way to do it ?????

MT8035N Engine Mount has been uniquely designed to fit a wide range of Mitsubishi
Vehicles. The following fitment procedure only applies to vehicles which have the Stopper/heat insulator bracket assembly spot-welded to the engine mount
1/ Remove engine mount from vehicle following Vehicle Manufacturers instructions.
2/ Working from below mount assembly, clean base of engine mount around lower mounting plate bolt holes. It is recommenced that spot welds are drilled from below engine mount to avoid leaving holes in the stopper/heat insulator bracket assembly. Locate position of spot welds and center punch each weld in preparation for drilling.
                                 

3/ Securely clamp engine mount assembly. Using a S.5mm (3/3") drill bit, drill spot welds to a depth required to release bracket assembly from mount. (In some cases it may be necessary to use a larger drill bit to fully remove spot weld, select drill size as required).
4/ Position bracket assembly over new engine-mount.                            
5/ Fit new engine mount assembly into vehicle'. Before tightening mounting bolts,
centrally position bracket assembly over engine mount. This operation is achieved by pushing bracket assembly to its extreme position both ways and from this determine the most central position and retain while tightening lower mounting plate bolts
6/ Complete remainder of fitment following Vehicle Manufacturers instructions.
Failure to observe the above instructions can void the warranty

Why would you need to drill anything? The stock ones on my 3.0 and 3.5 just bolt right on???

I've just put in a jap motor in my NH. I think I got the engine mounts as you were talking about. But when it came to it the sheilds weren't welded to the mounts and all I did was bolt it all back together. I think that it may be because the mounts might have been replaced before and weren't the original ones. Mine is a 2.5TD and has 350,000 km on the clock.

just got drivers side in (doing this slowly) and yep didnt need to drill anything those instructions are crap

You seem to have money to waste. A bit of cleaning, silicon (the black version) and that mount was good for another 300000!

Straight bolt on. Lift the engine enough to fit (one side at a time).

I think the instructions for welding etc is for mounting pedestals, not mountings?

No we have some great beer, but when I am plan on drinking more than a 12 pack in one sitting I switch to the cheap stuff to save some money.

XXXX is another abomination that may flood your shores as a result of the FTA.

Someone over there really dislikes you as I have seen one of the worst beers ever to spring from a tap, KB, on sale in the US on numerous occaisions. Yoyu thi8nk Fosters is bad, try a can of this crap!

I worked with a Chemist once who used to work at CUB (Carlton and United Breweries) and he told me they changed the Fosters formula to an export grade to suit international tastes
God only knows what sort of beer the rest of the world drinks
I've had some Yanks visit over the years for work and make it a point to go out and beer taste.
They seem to like Crown Largers the best.

I thought we exported all that crap 'cause none of us drink it.

Fiance used to work at Crown Casino on the hotel side and every year dealt with the Formula One Teams at Prix time. We usually ended up with about 3 or 4 slabs of Fosters as a "thank you" - (personally I don't think they liked her very much or they would have given her tickets not drain sludge)
