They really should have conducted two tests, one with the 4by and one with another honda. Would be more convincing then.

A genII would have to do better. Have you ever taken the doors off one of these truck??!!!!
They weigh a ton, way more than the older Pajero doors. There must be some beefy door beams in there.

I noticed that the rear door was open before the paj hit the poor little civic. I wonder wether that influenced the outcome in any way.

I thought it opened at the point of impact. Either way I don't think it was a factor, since the Pajero's roof didn't come in at all.

I watched the footage on the UK show TOP GEAR, and I noticed then that the rear door was open before the crash. Still, rather have been in the paj, unless my family was in the civic. Then I'd want to trade. I wouldn't want to be an ambo called out to that type of accident.
