Heaps of great stages for all. The terrain here is amazing from mountains, rocks, sand, mud, you name it.
Lots of wildlife here as well. Wild goats, pigs, donkeys, dingoes, foxes, etc.
Goat and rabbit is on the menu via spit for those who want any.
Will try to report days activities when we start on Firday night.
Any late entries, compeitors or spectators are still welcome. Contact Hobbzee on the above or ring me direct on 0428 534 102.
Will repot soon.
Cheers, Rudi

Awesome pix Trudi.....lots more to come I know
Exo event....thanks Rudi & co we had the bestest time,
Went in the Nissan in 'club class' to get the feel of a monster car thinking we'd be doing the easy courses.
But ended up all doing the same except for one winch hill.
Yeah the Nissan is diff and getting into driving a manual & winching was fun cold turkey.
Great crowd, entries, spectators and marshals.....unreal property with everything on it....... rock, sand, mud and steep terrain for winching & lots of nav runs, day and night. Thanks to Rudi for the interesting nav runs and to Colin Pond & Hobzee for the unreal courses.
To those interested.........If you want a 4 day mini Outback C. experience Rudi's Cliffhanger Navrun has got it all without leaving the property.
You camp in one spot, have delish meals provided,.... brekkie, a packed lunch, and dinner ea day........they laid on loos and there was a dam to swim in...tho I know next yr a shower will be built!!!
What more can u ask for?.
No long distances to event sites and enough time to keep your truck going without coping penalties.
All round the perfect event and aren't u all sorry you missed out now!...but there will be next year so start preps now cos you won't regret being there, that I can gaurantee u.
We managed to do ok in the big truck tho we had our moments.....
taking out a few stages in the club class and placing 2nd, . pity tho we didn't have more competition.
Our jubilation was quickly dashed as we returned to news that our eldest son has in fact got further cancer secondaries in his bones now.
So we face a v. sad future and are coming to grips with loosing him in the not too ditance future.
We thank all those there for their encouragement and warm support always....and come on girls you can do it...in any car....so I want to see some of you join me and drive at these events . Seeing 4 girls navieing was great, ..........considering the small field.
Cheers,
Celia & Eugene in "Elvis" the Nissan

now stuck between a Rock and a Hard place.....
Firstly, we are really sorry to here about you son Celia, we can only pray for his recovery.
On a brighter note, Aust. 4wd montly will have a huge 10 page spread on the event, January Issue out before Christmas. 4wd TV has also heaps of footage to be shown on there program, will keep you informed when aired, they will also be putting together a DVD on the event- will also keep you informed.
Thanks goes out to all the marshals, caterers, spectators who made this event possible and to Colin Pond from 4x4 Super Trucks for setting up the stages. Thanks Aust. 4wd Monthly we supporting the event in the next few years and hopefully many more after that. And our sponsors, Auspit, ProComp, Lightforce, 4x4 SuperTrucks, 4wd TV, EFS Suspension.
For a first time event it went much better than expected. Comments which kept coming from some of the competitors (note: these guys have done many a OBC and are respected in the 4wd industry ) "THIS EVENT WAS BETTER THAN THE OUTBACK CHALLENGE"
There words, not mine.
Everyone was looked after. Spectators where shown around the property and were guided to the stages by Dannii our spectator co-ord. So those who "WHINGED" about prices, etc how wrong were you, no one had a bad word to say and thought they were more than looked after, not only in service and facilities but also giveaways for all. Huge trophies 500mm in height, medallions, plaques, prizes, etc
Some competitors are already organising teams for next year, one team is bringing 5 other teams, some 3 teams, etc, the event is staged to be very big. The price will remain the same as well.
Everyone was catered for, including take away lunches for all. We even pay our marshals, what event does that?? Base camp was in one spot, no transporting to other properties needed, we had everything in one close sopt, no more than 5 km to the next stage!!!!!!! There were toilets, a swimming hole, etc Next year we will have showers as well.
The event has spoken for itself now- it has been hard work, especially for those against us- we have done it and we are proud. Thanks to those you supported us.
SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm back and clean shaven!!

Cielia sorry to hear the news, I hope it all works out.
A big thank you to all competitors for being great, we were flying by the seat of our pants at times and you all mantained your enthusiasm even into the late night. We will get a survey out to you so you can give feedback on specific areas, as Rudi said, please send him any feed back for next year.

Life can be pretty darn cruel sometimes especially for someone so young at 33.
Live each day....huh!
There is a wonderful little saying which I will share with you at this time of sadness.....
---------------------------------
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways......Chardonnay in one hand ....strawberries in the other....body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming
WOO HOO! What a ride!

whoo hoo
Celia and Eugene sorry to hear your news.
Well of all the events that I have filmed for 4WDTV that was the best fun you could have with your clothes on!!!! This was the first time I had the time to be involved in setting up tracks and for quite a few being the test bunny. Outside the indignity of being winched out by a Nissan no major damage done to the 80. After TREX wrecked their front end I had to spend a lot of time guarding my front diff .
To Rudi, Hobsie and colin thanks for a fantastic event. To all the marshalls thanks for your frendship and asistance during the event. It makes filming much easier.
To all the competitors, thank you for putting up with a smelly little bloke shoving a camera in your face every time you finished a stage.
As far as next year goes, it will be huge. So all you blokes and ladies out there, come and have five of the best days around competing, socialising and testing your metal. For spectators this is one of the best events to view, even the night stages are designed with you in mind and you can see 90% of the stages. Food is fantastic, three meals a day!!
Well thats my blaa, catch you all at the next event and dont forget www.4wdtv.com.au
