spring over on a 60
can any one tell me what i need to get and do for a spring over on my 60?
You need to get a highsteer kit or a double arm setup for steering.
Obviously, you will need new spring perches front and rear.
You also need to cut and rotate your front knuckles so that when you rotate the front diff higher for better pinion angles, you dont end up with heaps of castor on your front wheels.
A track bar is a great idea if you are planning on removing a lot of leaves from the spring packs to flatten them out.
You will also need extended brake lines front and rear and probably extended diff breather lines.
There are many other things that you can get depending on what special setups you are going to run. People run different shocks setups for example.

You will need: 8x Extended u-bolts (2inch ext.)
2x Extended brakelines
4x Spring perches
Alot of patience, esp. if this is your first SO (trust me )
Angle finder / angleometer for castor setting
Alot of patience
Welding stuff (rods/wire, helmet, gloves etc.)
Grinder with plenty of cutting and grinding discs
Alot of patience.
Double arm or hi-steer arms (better but $$$$)
Jack stands + hi lift and trolley jack
Alot of patience
Having just completed mine I would definitely advise waiting on ALL parts to arrive before starting. Otherwise you will be waiting around staring at a half finished job which sux, believe me. Feel free to PM me if you have any probs as having just done my 40 its all pretty fresh in my head.
Good luck, Its worth it!
