Grease points on Disco

Post by Jay »

This is an odd question: but from where should the transmission shafts be greased to pronlong its life?
How often should disco underparts be greased when used heavy off-roading?

You will find 3 grease nipples on the front driveshaft, 2 at the unis and one at the slip joint, and 2 grease nipples on the rear shaft, one at the uni and one on the slip joint. The rear uni on a 96 disco will be a flexible rubber coupling.

How often? I'd say after each big day of 4wding, personally.... But its really up to you...

TREs = Tie Rod Ends - however, most standard tie rod ends on a disco will be sealed, and not greasable, unless you replace them with greasable type.
