Hub Problems!!!

Post by Nor »

Hello mates!
I own a 1994 GQ LWB with a 4.2 Petrol engine (used to be injection, but after drowning the truck, turned it into carby!)
I had a slight problem with my original hubs, so I got the AVM manual ones to replace em about 18 months ago. Now, the AVM broke as well!

Has this happened to any of you?
Am I putting to much stress on it?
DO you know a good alternative or a good brand to use?

PLEASE HELP, as I really need a solution, and quick!!

Thanks in advance for all the help I'm gonna get!!
Best Regards,

AVM hubs are not as strong as original manual hubs. I use GQ manual hubs on my GU Patrol after mud destroyed my auto locking hubs. Other drivers prefer the AVM hubs as they will break before CVs are stressed to the limit, but they're so cheap that they carry a spare set of AVM hubs in case they break it during a trip out in the bush.

Thanks for the info guys.
It is difficult for me to find GQ hubs in Lebanon, but I might find GU ones.
After reading your comments, I guess I will put the GU ones for the time being.
Do they fit 100% (I know this might sound dumb, but just need to double check)
