Front Diff Locker question.

Post by Tobias »

I've got a 96' dico (300tdi auto) with a maxi-drive rear locker and open front. I'd like to put my 10 spline ARB locker in the front from my 88 ranige to save money on buying one for a disco. I know the disco has 24 spline axles and the rangie 10 spline but i would switch all the parts across. I run 32's (265/75's) on the disco will the 10 splines be ok in the front or would i be better selling the 10spline locker and buying a 24spline?

Another idea is to take the rear maxi drive out of the 88 rangie and try and fit it to the front of the disco? but i don't think the maxi idea is as simple as the ARB.

any idea's on what to do?

Tobias.

Get your 10 spline (the gears not the axles) reforged by Jac Mac, I was quoted $800 but that was with his axles as well.
