Your Thoughts for my Upgrade

Post by MyGQ »

Hi everyone,

Ok well its time to upgrade my Maverick again, finally got the money up to do the lift.

I am thinking of a 6" Suspension lift to my already 2" Suspension, 2" Body raised Patrol to fit my 35's under without any rubbing

Just wanted to know, how unstable would this baby be at that height? Some of them in our club have said it would roll with the slighest breeze, others say cause i have only done the body 2" i won't notice much more than a normal 6" lifted patrol

What would you recommend? go a 4" suspension lift, 5" or would 6" be safe enough. keep in mind i plan to run 35's and no swaybars offroad.

you will fit 35's comfortably with a 4" lift so i reccomend just a 4" lift plus your 2" body lift will be heaps and you do know with anything above 3" u need caster plates, adjustable trailing arms, adjustable panhards etc.

yeah 4" is the go. I got 2" BL 4" susp and 33's at the moment, and it tops.

Thanks guys

Though, i have 3" caster plates, and Adjustable Pannies here, were given to me as a thankyou for some jobs i did for the ppl in our club.

So going above 4" is just another matter of safety for me.

Might just ok at 4" or 5"

Appreciate all your thoughts.

I reckon at the moment you're better off doing no mods on your 4by and saving up for a unimog. It'll be the only way we'll be doing any worthwhile 4wding soon.
