yeh real funny fonzy
nah prob theres a few reasons why i didnt do it further up the guard.
a) theres not really that much room to be running 3" tube up through the engine bay
b)the angle of the plactis pipe coming from the airbox doesnt really make it beneficial to run it up through the engine bay
c) theres already a hole on the inside of the quarter for where to old the plastic pipe use to run into the wheel well
so yeh thats pretty much why, if anyone picks it, the hole is actually about 35mm too high, i measure about 90mm from the top of the quarter to the top of the hole on the inside but marked this as the centre of the hole on the outside of the quarter and not the top of the hole, but ahh well, a holes a hole....right guys and a holes a goal, and a moles a hole, so a moles the goal...anyways yeh, too early for me to be at work

The Snorks
Moderator: -Scott-
Not inside the engine bay Dean - what I meant was you may have been able to remove the plastic liner that runs under the guard and run the connecting tube there (The left hand guard has the water container for the washer bottle located there). You would still use the hole in the inside quarter near the airbox.
When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading
SNORK
ahh yeh ok blair i get ya now, but the angles on the snork would be a bit of a bitch, the whole ud need to cut up near the windscreen would be awkward i rekon, where ud need to cut it to run the snorkel through above the wheel guard up near the windscreen would have to come up through the round edge in the quarter, i dunno, yeh i guess u could, but i rekon its alright how it went,
as far as the hose clamps and copper i rekon theyll be alright, everything except for the copper plates are stainless and if anything bends, its gonna be the copper not the car, but theyre more of a temporary solution, until i make some stainless ones up at work, of exactly the same thing, seems to work pretty well, hopeuflly ill get to run it through some water at the end of the month
its solid as, u can grab the snorkel and rock the whole car, nothing moves, i was thinking along those lines but the other day, how it will handle corrugations could be a bit different i guess well find out ey
