Got to love the tin top, like a sauna in the summer, warm in the winter, does not leak, top cant tear and more points to push on.

Hookers are like bowling balls, You pick them up, put your fingers in them, then throw them in the gutter and they come back for more.

I don't think it exists either, but according to my rego papers my car is an ute and as it is a SWB I guess I have an SWB UTE.grimbo wrote:LWB ute not on the list. More common than a SWB ute (which i still don't think exists )

SWB Sierra utes definately exist. Suzuki released a limited number of them in 88/89 and were known as a "sub ute". Body wise, essentially it is a SWB version of Maruti. Possibly this was only released in NSW as each state had different distributors of Suzuki motor vehicles at the time.

I'm confused!!! What is the difference between a SWB soft top and a ute? Or are they the same. Also a LWB and a ute.? I have a Sierra table top, that is, seperate fully enclosed cab and seperate tray which I can take off. Is this a "ute"

This is why I'm confused. To me a ute is like a holden ute, that is cab and tray flow on from each other and are seamlessly joined where I agree with ofr57 that a cab chassis or table top are like Holden one tonners. But a lwb or swb soft top can't be a ute! They are like station wagons with no roof.Thats my two bobs worth!ofr57 wrote:i see the Maruti Ute as a ute but its a style side where as mines a flat bed or cab chassis as such

Zute is definitely a Ute !!!!
The camera angles may not be the best to explain it to the uneducated, but unlike a SWB or LWB soft-top where the floor carries through from the footwell to the tailgate, there are distinct passenger and cargo areas. This exists in Sierra Stockman/ Maruti utes. The cab-chassis stockman also can be (and most commonly is) a ute. Just like the difference between the Commodore Ute and the One Tonner.
