Yes, more effort is made on a participants part than a spectators, I'm sure you can understand. I haven't heard a bar of the support vehicle pass, if that is an option I am grateful for the suggestion.

See what you can do Jeff, I'll call you later.

7 x Gate Passes – We work on the basis of there being one pass for each competing vehicle including the reserve, plus one pass each for the Team Manager and a Support Vehicle (eg team mechanic). However, who you give the passes to is entirely at your discretion.

ferog wrote:Well, the entry pass idea is going to cause alot of problems, for starters, I am navigating but cannot get the day off work to travel up together, so this means I cannot get in!?! Unless I pay a spectators fee, even though I am not a spectator, the driver can't even come out to meet, greet and enter, it has to be together once only and that is it? What happens when a driver breaks something and he or the navi needs to travel off the grounds to retrieve a part? Do they then pay another fee?

Since like most normal people I have responsibilities to my job I cannot get friday off to enter nice and early, the driver will have to be there early to get the truck organised. How are we supposed to be able to effectively organise under these circumstances? Hopefully things will be as inconsistent as they were last year and I can get in. Any suggestions as to how we can get around this as driver will be there at 12pm and I will be there at 6pm ! ? :?
We have no problem with people leaving the site. Upon entry you will be issued an wrist band, your vehicle will be issued a sticker of a particular colour this give us certain info on your stay. When you arrive back at the gate will know all we need from these.

Cheers

personally, i think each team should of been allocated 12 passes. 5 for the drivers and their families, 5 for the navies and their families, 1 for manager and family, and 1 for support vehicle, most of our clubs drivers and navies will be travelling up in seperate vehicles.
ie. i will be driving my comp vehicle up with family in it too, my dad is my Navi and he will be driving his own car up. i have the pass, and the way i read it means that given i will have my mrs in my car, if dad comes through the gate at the same time we will be stung another $20 for an extra adult

Yes, that's right. The trouble is, if we gave out 12 passes to each Club, people would say that "I am the navi but my missus is coming up later, so why should she pay?..." and then we have 24 vehicles in. It has been this way for a few years now. I know it is not perfect, but if you don't offer a (workale) solution, you're part of the problem.

The other alternative of course is to increase the Club's entry fees, which if you take off the value of the 7 passes that are handed out, have essentially been unchanged in in 8 years

Looking forward to hearing your Gripes in person up @ Colo on the weekend

There is a lot we can organise / control for the Trials unfortunately the weather isn't one of them.
Maybe you could all get a little closer to him up stairs and put in a good word for us.

Why dont you have an overflow pipe or lower the overflow pipe. That is what most dams have to stop excess water.

Seems a simple job to me, no good words needed either ;)
