Height adjustment

HI Guys,

My SWB does not have height adjustable suspension. Ther are quite a few of the jap used ones available here that do have this feature. I know the front works but cranking the torsion bars with the use of a hydralic ram type arrangement.
Does anyone know how this setup works? Is it an electric pump? And for the rear - is it an airbag type sitting on top of the spring or once again hydralic?

Yes you have the right info on the system so far .The rear springs are pushed down with a air bag type of arrangment only they are inflated with oil. The system does get pumped up by a small electric pump (hydraulic) located just in front of the rear axle closest to the left wheel.

I'm pretty sure the Jap imports in OZ weren't allowed to have this system.

Hydraulic oil bags, I bet that caused a real mess as the truck aged.

They have been known to blow at times.
But you have to be really harsh on them to do so.That is in up position that is.
