zook shockies

Post by --sinner-- »

hey guys, ive been slowly fixing up a sierra, buts its been one hassle affter another...it has 3 inch lifted springs, and, from the looks of things, the shocks on the the drivers side are sagging. im kinda on a budget (arnt all zook owners?) and yeah, what brand do you reccomend? in a realistic price range?
any help appreciated very much.
cheers.

Shocks don't sag, it's springs that do that. Suggest to either reset your existing ones or look at a whole new kit but if you're after more than 50mm lift you will be limited on what's available.

So if you guys think that it is the shocks that sag, I'd strongly suggest that you just take the springs out and do away with them (springs in vehicle are over rated). The ride height may change but if you consider it's the shocks that hold up the vehicle, then just replace the shocks and see if that helps or not.

However, on serious note if helps for a 3"-4" lift you can use Gabriel Gas Ryders:
Front P/No. 69609
Rear P/No. 69619

unless the shocks are gas charged and are putting out some down force, if something is sagging its the springs. shocks are just a damper

ive got one shock missing from the front right of mine atm, no difference

I need longer front & rears, but front is the worst. When the wheel drops into a hole, it sounds like Ive smacked a rock. Can anyone recommend any bands with part numbers.
