TOYOTA LANDCRUISER HJ75 LWB

Post by newbyferoza »

Hey my Dad is looking at buying a Landcruiser ute around the 1985 year. Just wondering how many km's these utes can take before you need to rebuild. The one he is looking at has 270 000 km's and is wanting 12 000, is that too much

cheers nico

It has a 2H motor and the 2H can go to 500 thousand reliably if very well maintained.

400thousand would be about the average for a 2H id say.

my '88 troopy (HJ75) cost me $9250 and it was pretty well decked out. It had 319,000km on the clock and in fairly good nick to.

Shop around and you should be able to get a better deal (unless this one is especially clean with lotsa extras)

I picked up a 1990 HJZ75 ute, for four grand more than what this dude is asking with 178K on the clock, bar, spotties, canopy and toyo lockers.

Apart from the fuel pump I've had no hassles.
