long rang tank

i just got a long rang 60-65L(unsure of brand)from a wrecker and was told it was off a 89 hardtop(not sure of nt or wt) will this fit on my 91 wt soft top and do i have to cut anything

Should fit fine. might have to reroute exhaust a bit but thats all.

Theory is if it off an 89' model Sierra, then it could have only come off a SWB and would have been a W/T, therefore would fit any SWB Sierra (81-4/96, not coily) and should fit your 91 Sierra without modification. However, brand is another thing, off the shelf only Out of Town (70l) and 4WD Systems (75l) made long range tanks for a SWB Sierra. Brown Davis might have but can't remember.

$160 cause it had been sitting around for a long time and he just wanted to get rid of it. i tried to fit it today(day off) and it dont fit i have to remove the rear orig tank brackets and use a d bolt over the round bar between the chassis how would be the best place in sydney to take it to and get them to put it on(wife said im not allowd to cut the car :x )

Going by your description, sounds like a Long Ranger (Out of Town) fuel tank and they are in Barnsley (Newcastle). The best bet would be to speak them and make the journey get them to fit it if it is their tank. Speak to Rick Black as he runs the fuel tank side of the business (49533288).
