WE Rock Finals - Judges wanted

Post by Strange Rover »

So who is keen to judge at the finals on the 19/20 Nov.

Need at least 5 sets of judges.

Have a really good opportunity to do the Judges Cup a little differently this time. What we will do is the judges will compete on there own course after the competitors shootout course is run on Sunday afternoon. So basically the judges will compete while we tally the scores for the rest of the competitors. This gives us more time to tally the scores and keeps all the spectators entertained.

And the best thing about this is that the vehicles the Judges will be driving will be the 2 rental moon buggies and Adrians moon buggy. So we will have 3 very similar vehicles for the judges to drive to find the best combination.

Training for new judges will have to be on the Friday 17th or on the morning of the competition if it comes down to that (basically we just help you judge the actual competitors untill you get the hang of it - its really very easy to do.)

So post up here if you are keen.

Winning in a new rig with no seat time has been done before, no biggy really. :D

Im also confident that two if not three of the american teams will hop straight into new buggys and spank everyone big time.

So confident infact, that if a yank isn't in first place by more than 60 points  by the final stage, i will drive the last stage but naked
quoted, so ya cant back out :finger:

OK - thats good - seems like we will have a good number. If a more people wanted to get involved we could handle a few extras. I figger if everybody wants to compete in the judges cup and we have 10-15 drivers it should work well.

Looks like we will have enough people that have judged before so that the new people can just learn as they go. I guess we will just have a judges meeting on the friday afternoon or Saturday morning to get everybody setup. Probably need to spend a bit of time to have a quick run through the rules to make sure we are all scoring the same way.

One thing different we will do this time is call out the penalities as they happen so that the competitors know what you are scoring them on and if they hear somehting that they dont like then we can sort it out straight away (they do this in the US). For example if you call the competitor on a reverse and they dont think it should have been called then you can have a time out and sort it out straight away.

Can everybody PM me your user name, proper name and vehicle rego numbers that you will be going to the finals in so I can get a list happening for the gate entry.

Well, I am going to tell the US guys to hold up a bit just so you have to drive the last course naked, that would be funny shit. They will be 59 points in the lead...

Sorry for the hijack sam

Yep - thats the plan. Although judges cup is where the pressure will be on.

Should be good fun especially with everybody driving moon buggies without any practice. It amazies me where these things will drive.
