A top weekend, a bit wet at times, a bit slow at others (especially when you sit in the queue at S3 for 4 hours and then S8 for 3 hours).
Good to meet a few guys from here. Seen Redzook drive S3 - top drive mate, very controlled up and over the last logs. You deserve the open title.

The Vitara roll over was good action. the bar work held up perfect..
did anyone see the crazy goose that just held it pined up the end of stage 3 even after getting to the top and hit a tree head on knocking it into the crowd? a camera girl and a bunch of us got some leaves in our beer...

Chops matey (aka GOON BOY) wasn't real heathly the next day
Any way was a pretty shweet weekend ....some real coool action Sams roll proved the importance of exo cages .......and the red bundera that rolled also proved that maybe the officials need to spend less time checkin whether flares are fitted and make a new regulation that either internal or external cages are mandatory .......because its only a matter of time until someone gets seriuosly injured ...........and then we will be left with maybe a good competition goin down the drain due to insurance dramas which as everyone is aware is a big issue of late (my 2cents)

I am surprised that external or internal cages are not compulsary (sp??)
I think that a cage, window nets, helmets and most proberly harnesses should all be standard. If you have the money to compete you have the money to put in the saftey items.

That would've had to been the best wheel stand of the weekend I reckon..... it went up, and stayed upright for quite a few seconds..... i fairly happy with the way my rig drove saturdays events, but sundays event were average, if there were more tracks like saturdays itd be alot more fun, some things learnt about my rig on the weekend, is it wheel stands a bit so ive gotta look into it a bit more, but i will be back next year,
Trees Revenge is a bit how ya going, the 30 point mark is not good, i think it needs to be changed for next year.

Yes Trees Revenge was not a good track for me either. I was a bit embarrassed being the first car up on trees revenge and smacking the tree on the 30 point marker way too hard, but after seeing most people struggle to get past there it made me feel a little better. Did not help that my rear left spring decided to drop out on the first hole at the 20 point mark.

Not a bad suggestion..my first born was navi in Sam's truck.
We do require all vehicles to be road registered as passenger vehicles tho. I think this would pose a problem with some of the daily drivers ?.

organisers, might i say TOP WORK!
and a couple of small points...
1. good stuff you didnt postpone or cancel.
2. the gate people should possibly be a bit better versed to answer Q's and remember whats going on with handing out wrist bands and stuff.
3. good work cracking down on some of the hoons. but sometimes i think the crackdown was alot more dangerous then the donuts. specifically a long wheelbase GQ beeping a horn and cutting infront of a white 80 series to try to get old mate in a red shorty cruiser.
4. lots of bin bags on trees at events is a top idea.
5. that was the fastest i have seen TLCC recovery work, but still some big delays, TTC style excavator to reef them out is the GO. or put the TLCC guys on speed. or maybe try some yobos, atleast some rum drinking red necks will get the job done!

had a fantastic weekend cept for some of the waiting. I was expecting TTC style recoveries, as they still went a little slow, but after breaking both CVs, rear locker not working and being up againts a tree on event 2 I was impressed this year at the much mre professional aproach of the guys at that event.
Revoveries by Tony on ther stair case were also A1, but I still think some more work on the orgonazations of the event lines etc would be good as well. When I asked where to head to the next event after finishing one I mostly got blank looks, and the line I got onto by accident after driving in circles for trees revenge saw me push way ahead (lucky for me I was finished by 3pm) and by 2pm the guy in front of me had yet to do his first event for the day......maybe some signs on trees? just a thought, I geuss I will reflect a little differently after wild rock has being run and won. Its always different when you actually run something.

But the approach to flares was a bit of a joke.
We had our reserve knocked back becuase the flares he uses every single day on his realatively mild Jeep didn't cover his offroad tyre lugs by about 0.5cm........yet there were rigs going through with bits of flat stuff that didn't even cover the length of the tyre - letalone some of the sharp edges on some......
and if you were to take the flares so seriously why not get anal about having mud flaps too.....
I dunno just seemed silly.
Oh yeah my only main suggestion for next year (which I hope to run in again because I did enjoy it) - why not have the queues to each event clearly marked?
Even just a few signs - cause there were plenty of people who wanted to do the right thing but had no idea where to go after finishing a run and that resulted in multple queues and a few bits of unnessacary agro.....
Just a suggestion.....
