OK what am i doing wrong,
who did i kill in a past life
why am i being punished

I took my gear and transpher sticks out to check the breather found there is not one there, when i put it back together the transpher stick is stuck.

I have pulled it out to check i am putting it in the right way around, which it is but no movement.

HELP PLEASE
Cut down Sierra cab on extended LWB chasie running, Hilux front and Bundy back, with a 4AGZE should be finished about umm soon. A 60 Series work truck and some go fast toys too.

Story of my life - but I'm guessing you've missed the slot.

Did you dismantle the trasfer lever assembly or has the metal shim that guides the lever into position turned.

By memory there are two slots visible one on each of the selector shafts - make sure you are inserting into the correct slot. This can be a pig of a job sometimes taking 30 seconds other times a LOT longer (this is getting worse by the minute).

or

postition the two slots together then insert the lever.

The breather is actually a very small hole in the rubber boot around the base of the gear & t/case levers in a 5sp manual.
It's hard to find.

I got a quote of $900 to pull the box strip it and install.
Decided i could not loose anything and got in there with the BF Screwdriver and in less then 2 min click all fixed

Went to the Logan Extream night run on Saterday, did the entire run during the day even got a hill named after me you should try Pajero hill good fun. Glad to be wheeling again
