finally got around to taking some pics of my spaced front shock mount. All i did was use some steel plate to space the top mount across. I used a rib that bolts to the original shock mount rib to stop the whole thing acting as a pivot. This moves the shock over enough to clear the steering arm.

Hard plastic, a bit like teflon
Ultra High Molecular Weight
any industrial plastic supplier will know what it is...

thanks for the pics tojo..

i'm thinking i might flip my shocks around to the front of the towers this weekend with the help of the grinder on the inner guards..

i've been doing a bit of research on the 60# box to remove the problem with the steering arm but that might be a fair way off.. I'm hoping the shocks will clear better at the front.. but will have to wait and see..

my45... any chance of you getting off your ass to get some pix too? :finger:  thanks buddy :P

I spaced mine by,

removing the shock tower

welding a 100mm X 50mm box section where the shock tower used to go

Welded or bolted (memory going) shock tower to box section so it is now 50mm off the chassis

turning the shock upside down won't fix it from memory
