Just need some advice on inserting the antenna cable into the cabin area. Is it only done via the firewall or is there another way. I am mounting the antenna on the front bumber., left side at this stage.
Is there a large rubber grommet that is utilised or does one have to drill a hole into the firewall.
cheers RN

Accessing the firewall of the GQ for CB cable

On the Right hand side of the firewall there is a large wiring loom with an equally large grommet around it. I just punched a small hole in it and poked the cable through. it saeled up on the outside & it works a treat. It comes out right above the throttle pedal.
I cant remember what I did for my AM cable as the antenna is on the left hand side.

I avoided the engine bay altogether by running the cable inside the inner guard, tied up to the metal on the passenger side. The cable then runs past the FM radio aerial then through the boot for the passenger front door cables (speakers, power windows etc). Very neat and keeps cable away from hot things.

Well I have accessed the firewall via a grommet below the A/C moisture overflow tube.
Re mounting the antenna to the bumper bar. I notice that there is a large rubber washer.
Which side of the bumper bar does it reside on, underside or on the top? I am thinking it goes on the top between the bumper top section and the cone shaped rubber isolater.
