Would i be right to assume that an MQ bellhousing would not bolt to a GQ box??
Are there any other patrol bellhousings that are interchangeable??

Want to keep he GQ box as it has the PTO on it.

what are you trying achieve? more info. is is a motor swap a gearbox swap (guessing no as you asking about bellhousings) etc

The V8 is coupled to a MQ bell housing. i want to know if the MQ bell housing will bolt to the GQ gear box in the GQ so i can retain the PTO amongst other things.
If not, the MQ bell housing will be scrappd and will find an adaptor to fit the 8 to the GQ bell housing.

The MQ gearbox & bell housing are totally different to the GQ. I would be sourcing a GQ bellhousing if I wer you as there will be much mucking around to make the MQ gaerbox and transfer fit the GQ. Plus the MQ box is nowhere near as strong.

I looked into fitting a TD42 to my old MK when the SD33 was getting tired but then realised that part of the drivetrain is totally different so I took the lazy option and bough a GQ. I also got coil springs to boot :armsup:
