Don't know if that's what you'd call em but ah well.
Can anyone make a suggestion as to someone who does a good job and is reasonably priced ?
I just really can't be bothered with it anymore.
Basically I want to either have the carb stripped down and rebuilt professionally.
Buy a previously rebuilt or new stock carby.
Otherwise buy a weber.
A question about the weber though. Does it still have the stalling uphill issue that I've heard about ?

i got a weber on my zuk and yes it does stall up hill, but only when the tow-ball is touching the ground (a very steep hill!) so to me its not really a huge issue... up hill it runs rich and idles a bit lower, but its not often you're on enough of an angle to notice.
as for fitters, i got mine done as Premier Motorsport in Balcatta by the guy running the carby business out the back - his name is Tony Forbes. he isnt there till early next year though cos he picked up work on the mines (big $$$).

defiately worth getting a proper carby rebuild.
but from then its very important to keep fuel supply clean.
I put a kit thru my carb, put in a new clean tank, an efi type inline filter, and an extra filter after the fuel pump, and I have not had a problem since. I also pop in some fuel system cleaner every now and then, and if you have a drainer on tank, is good idea to drain off the crud sometimes.
before this I was ready to throw the carby thru the windscreen and have a tantrum regularly.
I had another idle problem that turned out to be a stuffed pcv valve. I blocked it off and it idles like a dream..replacing it would be wiser

Well it was a not so clean fuel supply that started this whole problem. When I bought it I changed all the oils, air and oil filter and new plugs. But I forgot the fuel filter and as luck would have it, it hadn't been changed in quite some time. It was absolutely full of black muck and was letting that through to my carby.
I'd say the tank is probably filthy but it doesn't have a drain plug, would I have to actually remove it to clean it out ?
I'll definitely put another filter in when I get my carby seen to.
Well back to the weber. I'll probably be taking it up to Lancelin after it's been dealt with. Any chance of it stalling on a dune a pretty much stock zook could get up ?
Also how much did you get it for ?
