Post by matt.mcinnes »

Looking for a partner in crime to compete in th 2006 Alpine Challenge asuming their will be one.
Another old Toyota would be great but if you have a Nissan or a Rangie i guess i can consider been slowed down by it
Anyone who is interested leave a note or PM me.
Regards Matt

well, i'd love to compete with you in my car, but i think the hand winch would slow you down just a little TO much (well, depends on my navi really!), so on that note, i'll just keep my arse in the passenger seat of your truck, and we'll keep trying to find 2 more partners in crime that can keep each other company in another car (truck) to compete alongside us in this comp.

Maybe it's too early to commit to a team at this stage. With the Outback Challenge & Ateco before the Alpine Challenge, drivers won't be sure if their truck will still be in one piece for the Alpine.

Good luck anyway.

I,m just putting a few feelers out not looking for committment yet though these things soon come round.
Also there is a chance that our sponsors will cover the cost of entry for both trucks, though if so conditions will apply :D

As for luck nah dont need it i drive a Toyota

All we need now is a Jeep team.

Johnnie boy and Rod would be like two peas in a pod (both Green) in their mean machines.

Any chance boys you two will team up? :D

Maybe an odd nissan and rangie too

Not committing 100% to it at this stage but am seriously considering the alpine this year. How tough is it? What's the destruction rate like?
And i might be searching for a mug to follow me or vice versa to.
Any thoughts/tips?

Sheeez ask the big questions why don't ya. I'd love to throw me hat in the ring but firstly it's too far away yet, secondly i haven't got another car yet and thirdly i just don't know!

If i'm in i'll be driving some sort of 60. Can't afford a Nissan. OK well i can afford a Nissan but can't afford the repair bills!

Desisions desisions, it's is a Toyota though and a 60 at that, so it should survive depending on how you drive :D

Channel 31's 4x4 TV had some pretty good coverage of the even too if you can get hold of a copy.

We got some mad footage at the Alpine Challenge this year for 4wdtv, tough event, but absolutely awesome! You're gonna love driving it, but you'll sleep well on the last night thats for sure! Check out www.4wdtv.com.au for info on getting some footage or which episode.
