Sorry about this, buts its probably been done before. Just after info for an 80 series, whether the auto or manual is better. By better i mean, any drama's with either of them?Repairs/faults.
Im looking at a duel fuel 80 and want to work out which is better. It will be a tourer/weekend club runner, nothing extreme. Bit of lift and 33's.
Any help would be sweet
Oh are they any good on gas??????

auto or manual???

auto/manual is largely a matter of personal preference. the auto will use lisghtly more fuel around town, highway comsumption should be about the same. they are both good, strong gearboxes, each have some problems especially with higher km but what vehicle doesn't.
the 4.5's are ok on LPG, stay away from the 4 litre motor (3F, 3F-E), they are badly underpowered and use more fuel than the 4.5. have you considered the diesel options?

thanks
thanks for that,I have or am also considering the diesel option, but its the never ending debate.......gas vs diesel!!!!!Seems here in Melb theres alot more 80's converted to gas and better prices. Think i prefer the diesel though. But harder to come by without super high miles. I'm looking under $$$20 g so that limits what I can get
