Unfortunately, they only allow a small number of media to be out there filming and Mick Ellem is the dedicated still photographer

What sort of coverage are you seeking if there`s going to be limited media and only one still photographer covering the event.?

if there's 30 people on the course filming and shooting, people get in each others way, and certainly in the way of the spectators

Offroadimages (Mick Ellem and crew) will have enough pople there to cover the entire event. Other photographers will be Lance Clifford from Pirate4x4.com who is doing live internet coverage. And Randall Kilner - I guy from Brisbane who is starting up a new magazine "Dirt Comp Magazine" that is primarilary geared around the custom offroader race cars.

Will also have ORP doing the video and 4wd TV there as well.

We will be running 4 or 5 courses at the same time which should thin the number of media on the courses at the one time and we will be making an effort to make sure the media guys are as far away from the vehicles as possible both for safty reasons and more importantly so that they dont get in the way of the spectators. This has definately been an issue at past WE Rock events and also Tuff Truck and Im wanting to make this aspect of the event work better.

99% sure she is spotting for Dustin, however i would love to see her have a drive at some stage. I am pretty sure that if everyone hung around after the last stages then she would get in and show us how its done.

There's three people i want to watch driving, Tracy Jordan, Jason Paule and Becca Webster. So hopefully i can get to see two of them drive.

So who thinks the US guys are going to kick our arses all over the place??

By the looks of it the rigs they will be driving are probably going to be slightly better than what the aussie guys are driving and we got a US course designer setting the courses.

But we got the aussie terrain and most of the aussie guys will be driving well sorted buggies (although some of them will be driving new buggies with very little seat time just like the US guys)

Im guessing US guys will dominate the top placings but would fawkin love an aussie to take a win in unlimited as well as in pro modified. We got 4 US guys entering unlimited and one in promodified.

Going to be fawkin good.

My plan is that these US guys normally drink US beer which we all know is like makin love in a row boat - fawkin close to water. So we all hit the piss Friday and Sat night and see how the men pull up the following morning.

THATS THE PLAN - so lets get it awn!!!!!

I think those beers you've been hauling down all night Sam have just kicked in :drinking: ! (good practice i suppose  )

Anyhow, most people know about my prediction of whats going to happen.

I personally don't think hoping into a new rig will disturb them to much, remember nearly everytime we have built a new buggy and driven it out of the shed most of us then won the next event with no seat time. :D

Course design will favour the yanks. :D

I a pretty sure the aussie terrain won't effect them to much either, after all 'a rock is a rock". :D

I think the biggest thing we have going for us is the backing of the spectators  , they really need to get us going and support us when they are most needed (when i am getting my arse handed to me by a bunch of yanks)

All in all Roger and i will be busting our butts to try and beat these guys, it will be a honour just to watch and wheel with them. Can't wait.

I'm thinkng to hand the US guys to Erol Smith (the property owner), he'll take them along to the Cockfighter Creek Tavern up the road in Bulga and bring them back a little worse for wear.

Seeing that we even have a hard time reading what you write, figuring out what they are saying has to be twice as difficult.

The only thing that might slow down my American boys, will be if you sabatoge the vehicles...

Sam remember the first time you saw any of Lil'Richs courses ;) :D

Unfortunately I can't make it to spectate but I would like to pass on my congratulations and big props to Strange Rover for all the work he is doing to build this sport. the time and effort to get it running is amazing but to then up the ante by getting the US drivers, spotters, course builders, event coverage as well is just a credit to yourself. I hope as many people as possible can go along and get behind him and his teams efforts.

Good luck to everyone competing and marshalling. I can't wait for the coverage hear and on pirate
