Bundera or MQ shorty patrol?

Post by Screwy »

im thinking about buying a Bundera, diesel, could i possibly ask a favour and get some specs and details on them? Im looking to spend up to about $7500 on a pretty good condition one, just need some specs and maybe what to look out for in the car, also, is the 3B diesel the only deisel motor in them?
its either i buy a bundera or i buy a short wheelbase MQ nissan patrol diesel, im also curious about comparisions between these two vehicles, which is better?
im planning on doing a decent amount of 4 wheeling, and making some mods, im curious as to what would stand up to offroading better as well,
any help at all would be great.
thanx guys.
Screwy

also if anyone has any of these two vehicles that they are wiling to sell at a decent price i would be keen to find out more.

if its a short wheelbase once again id be happy with a GQ, but im after a diesel motor, cause there is no way i could afford to run a petrol.

i do know of a petrol bundy for less than $7000 that's not too bad... petrol though.

personally, i'd rather have a petrol gq than a diesel mq.

The comfort factor out weighs the fuel bill.

I used to own a 22R Bundera, nice car to drive around town, but not much good offroad, minimal wheel travel and difficult to set up as well as a GQ.

I was talking to a guy who wants to fly up from Melb just to have a look at my GQ. He said you can't buy a good SWB GQ down there for less than 10k. Is this right?

If you want to have a look at mine the address is:

Sorry Screwy-ScrewBall the Bunderas dont have 3bs they only have 2.4 ltr diesels (some are turboed) as they are a Hilux based vehicle
If you want a 3b you have to buy either a BJ 70 (short wheelbase) or a BJ 73 SERIES (mid wheelbase)
Are you after a coil sprung Bundera or a leaf sprung CRUISER

Maggot yours is cheap, I can't understand why you haven't sold it yet, looks pretty clean too.

You can still find a cheap shorty in Melbourne you just need to be in the know and keep you eyes and ears open.

It has custom spring lift, long travel shockers, alarm, cetral locking, remote entry, soft top, roll bar, driving lights.......... and i am willing to sell for around $7000.
I am only selling because i have bought another Bundera, with a super charged motor

yeah the GQ shorty option is so damned easy, and similarly, the MQ shorty option is so damned cheap..... but who can go past a sexy BJ73 on 35z with a rear locker and 35z. Soooooooo capable, and so bluuuuuuuudy sexy!!!!! And when you get a few love bites on the old girl.... just comp it like old mate Gordo!!!

(hey there madshort, met you on a few occasions..... a mate of Steve Patten's, met you at the club funkana a few weeks back)
