not sure
dude i read a review not so long ago about 7inch lift kits in patrols and cruisers and even with a 7 inch lift, they werent sure whether 37i tyres would fit under.
but keep me posted on this one if u go ahead cos i wanted to put 37's under mine soon.

That part doesn't matter I think he means will the front diff centre, cv's etc handle that rubber..

the front diff will usually break long before the CV's, treated CV's are a waste of money on an 80 unless you also replace the diff with, for example, a H233B or similar.
Free air locker to the first 20 callers!
It’s only a matter of time and you will break the front centre especially with the 4.88s. You can drive it reasonably hard, just don’t do silly things like backing uphill hard with the front locker on etc Chat to Wally [80Ute] he has the right idea [and gear].

Fitment is definatly not gonna be an issue. Em's 80 [pictured] runs a 5 inch spring lift at the most and after cutting maybe 1.5 inches out of the rear or the rear guards the 38's fit perfectly. Standard gearing is bearable after only one trip out so far, but the turbo [fitted last week] should make things much much better !!

thought i would jsut report on this..
i have now had the 38's on there a couple of years and so far diff centre wise it has been great.. have broken one, but that was my own stupid fault... on the limiter and side stepped the clutch in reverse! wat else could ya expect!!
have done a few cv's but u get that

this is some funny $hit!!!
a 'built' 80 front is stronger than anything nissan has to offer!!!
we have a "built" GQ front in one of the comp cars and it still brakes easier than a toyota (but the CAL-OFFROAD cv's are never going to brake!! - its just all the nissan stuff bolted to them )
