Aki's Custom 4 Link Rear.

Post by Bitsamissin »

Aki ask me to post this.
His 4 link rear is definitely not the Pro-Link set up which requires a 4" body lift, Aki's has a 2" body lift.
Aki has custom built his 4 link set up taking 2 years to perfect it, he is hoping to produce it in kit form for sale now that it is perfected.
Here is the link http://www.jsroot.com/04ijiru/kai1_31.htm it's in Japanese but the pics pretty much explain what he's done.
Extended upper bumpstops, Rancho 99010's (20" of travel), adjustable pivoting lower trailing arms with new mounts, stud to eye shock mount conversion on a new cross chassis tube, top diff located pivoting extra link.
I can't work out the tailshaft though, it has to be aftermarket to cope with the slip yoke set up.
Anyway thats a top job in my book and looks very impressive :D
He also plans to do a Dana 35 SAS in the future, I can't wait for that...........
I just luv my "clacker Jabber"

not bagging what he's done or anything but if i had my back wheel hanging done that low and looking that awkward i would be quite embarrased. It doesn't look natural to have that much air between tyre and panel work.
