How much weight can the 110 and 130 cab chassis carry in the tray?

Also why does the Defender only put out 90Kw compared 2 the Discos 101Kw and whats the difference?

Thanx

G'day,

sorry not sure of carrying capacity, But I assume somehwere around 700 - 750kg

As for the power, are you talking about the TD5 or 300tdi motors, if you mean the TD5 it's the chip thats different, you could put a disco chip in, but you can buy an aftermarket chips for more power which would be a better option

IIRC the 110 has 1tonne payload and the 130 has 1.5tonne. The TD5 has a different chip in the 110 and disco - as well as chipping it you can do a lot of mods to increase the performance of the TD5.

The 300TDi's should all be the same - 111bhp - but again there are a lot of easy mods to increase power.

TD5 Defender has a standard wastegate actuated by boost (eg linear boost till wastegate opens)
Td5 Discovery has a ECU modulated Wastegate controller and actually controls the wastegate to maintain boost at max (when possible).

The Defender ECU has 2 fuel maps (Low and High) whilst the Discovery has 3 Fuel Maps (Low-Intermediate-High) these are the reasons for the power differences.

My Defender makes 87Kw at the wheels with ECU upgrade and Custom made intercooler.

My Old Mans Disco2 TD5 Auto makes 91kw at the wheels with factory intercooler and ECU upgrade.

Boost settings on both engines are limited to 19psi.
Disco was set at factory incorrectly and was initially making over 24lbs when checked on the dyno
