Hilux steering rod
HI i have just bought a 3rds productions heavy duty steering tir rod from hub to hub for my 1983 hilux and was wondering if anyone coulld tell me how long the tir rod has to be from centre of ball joint to the other sides centre of ball joint?? the adjustment will affect my toe and i can't go off my original tir rod as the tir rod end has been off tube centre and toe is unknown. Anyone could help me out even if u measure the original tir rod bar from centre of balljoint of both sides and tell me how many mm is it cheers Salli
you should get a wheel alignment afterwards anyway.
Just take your old one off, adjust the new one to the same length, install and get a wheel alignment.
Worked for mine.
