I helped with the judging on stage 5 for alot of the time, there was alot of organising to be done so was happy to help...

the moon buggys all looked very trick, very impressed with most of the buggy engineering there.

Haha, Timmy you pickup owning kid :D

Simply awesome show. Loved it. Just great for spectators - plenty going on, great access to viewing spots. Very, very impressed with the teamwork of Ben and Tim. Pity about the roll on the first obstacle of the first course - that was the very first thing I saw all day!

Absolute crack up to hear the American teams communicate. Dustin was a pissa with his melodramatic nonsense.

Cheers to Tony for the parts (a few solid kits made them fit!) and congrats on the drive.

  WHAT AN AWESOME WEEKEND!

and to walk away with 3rd place in Pro-Modified was something Ally or i never expected. We went up there just to test out the rotary engine in the buggy and give Ally a bit of seat time to prepare for next years series. We were very relaxed about actually competing and hitting cones etc wasn't much of a concern, That is till sunday morning when we were actually driving between them!

Have to say thanks to a few people,
Firstly Ally, after driving pretty tame on Saturday you got such a good feel for the rig on sunday and DROVE IT! Just like Mick Garner suggested. For your first comp driving, you did a fantastic job and i am so proud of you, as Tony said you'll be the next Becca Webster.

Rod and Ben, my pitt crew, we couldn't have got this far without you guys, thanks for all your help over the past few months and the late nights we had putting roctoy together.

Mum and Dad for letting my junk live in their garage, and for all their support and dad's old skool advice on wheelin, i learned everything from you.

Big thanks to Michael Hurst at Signdraft, for letting me keep the buggy in the middle of our factory for the last month while it got the finishing touches and providing me with all the machinery and skills to computer engrave, cut out panels, paint and vinyl up the buggy so it looked it's best.
For any of this stuff, router cutting, engraving laser cutting ring us up at SIGNDRAFT 02 9524 0557.

Team Americia (FAWK YEAH!) Thank you guys for being typical loudmouth yanks, you are alot of fun to be around. Jody reminded us of Fred Durst from Limp Bizkit. :D
Team red bull, never before have i witnessed such professional displays of driver / spotter teamwmork, Dustin and Becca, you guys ROCK!

Sam Overton, thank you so much for all your guidance and help in the early stages of setting up our buggy, it just goes to show, that these HAULTECH buggys are tought little units, we rolled twice and still managed not to break a thing all weekend.
Also thanks to Sam for all the hard work he does to keep rock crawling in Australia progressing forward at a huge speed. The international competitors were blown away at how much we have progressed in the 3 odd years this has been going.

i have to agree, a big arms up to Sam Overton for making this happen

he puts his money where his mouth is,

he motivates a stack of people to get their shit together, and booted this motorsport into overdrive for the aussies.

with the proposed changes to nsw lift laws, leaving the future of all-terrain comps for registered vehicles uncertain, this sport has come at the right time.

looks like everyone had a blast...

A thought, probably a stupid one since I havent been to an event, could you run a night stage - after dark, usin spotties, and floodlights?

or would it be too difficult with shadows, darkspots etc?? May just add to the experience...

That event ROCKED :D  pardon the pun

Best driving I have ever seen.

I judged on stage 1 and it was awesome to be so close to the action and hear the communication between driver and navi.

The guys really know how to drive...that includes the Aussies.

The Americans could not have been friendlier...or funnier  They speak so much shite but it all sounds good.

Big George and BZ were the pick of the bunch for me. All personality and they knew their shite.

Pity I had to piss off early and miss the Judge's Cup.

Anyone know who won?

Oh...ABD - dude, what is the medication that you are supposed to be taking? FFS let someone know so that we can get you some more.

hey tiny, where did ABD write that? did you just want to say that yourself and blame someone else for it :D

correction it looked good on it's roof but it looked great on two wheels!

my buggy is about 98" wheel base and it is not extendable (it's against the rules to have an extendable wheelbase during competition anyway.)

Well

We did! :D Jeremy took 1st and I took 2nd (tied 2nd) Thanks Tom for lending us the buggy! It's awsome.

Had a "Blayrst" as the yanks would put it. Judging is great fun, the drive at the end was like christmas day for a bunch of kids.

This event was by far the best Iv'e been to ever!!! A massive step up for W.E Rock Aus, I can't believe there wern't more specatators. The courses were really good and appropriately challenging. The start and finish times were great, we even got a sleep in and got to have fun in daylight after the events which makes it fun.

Definately one i will never forget, all competitors were a pleasure to watch and judge, even with Mr big personality and muscles (usa) George! who was worried Jeremy would minus points on an imaginary cone for telling me I'm cute)

:P Had lot's of laughs, the yank boys and girls added some great spark and endless energy to the weekend.

Bring on the next one!

These buggies are certainly breeding!
