i havent seen to much of the iroks but the stuff i have seen they didnt excite me

Hey Marcus i realy hope you are comming out to the W.E.Rock finals so you can explain to the Americans how Boggers are the best tyre and how they will assist in getting you through the first layer of gravity

Which one of the `Americans` are you going to polish the first Tony. You gunna be sucking alot of c__k this weekend, you`ll be the first 4x4 groupie in Oz.

i tell ya what, for a bloke that was running boggers in '91, i assume you must have been about at earliest 23 year old then, which was 14 years ago, so add 23 + 14 = 37.

so by my vague calculations, you would be at least 35 years old at present.

I'm happy with my Iroks

but I've only driven at the trials with them

and I could only compare them to Simex ET's and radials

When did I ask about wheelbases. I dont give a rat`s arse about how long or short your wheel base is, as wheel bases are only related to the size of your tyre you want to drive.

Irok`s or what ever you want to use for general rock crawling. If conditions are dry enough, the tyre with the most rubber contact with the rock will be the best. Its not the air gap between the lugs that gives you any grip. Years back I ran a set of BFG Trail terrains - road tyres. Yeah, the most rubber contact on rock avalible and they out performed any swamper or any other tyre used. But if its wet well they were pretty shit aswell.

OK really mr rubber expert...

So I guess the different durometer ratings of the rubber have no effect whatsoever on traction... Nor does the tread pattern...

By your logic a slick will have the best traction on rock, regardless of rubber compound. Somehow I think not.

IMO...............

they are both great tyres, but for different type of terrain.
I found in mud and loose screety dirt the ET's were awsome, but not real good on wet rocks.
The Irocks I can run at alot lower pressure than the ET's and they bag and grab on rock alot better, the ET's are alot heavier in the sidewall.
I think the ET's are better for a road tyre, as in an allrounder for if you need to travel at highway speeds. So it would be more of a preference to what you drive.

he carried around a wodden roler and took pics of the ruler next to all the rigs to check wheel base

ETs are the only bias tyre I have run, and they have understandably outperformed the wranglers I normally run. as foar as wet rock go they went pretty well.

I would like to have a play on jeremys irok (why you got 5 stud biatch) as they appeared to go very well at bathurst in the sluchy stuff and the rock etc. I dont like the look of the tread though, they kind of look like balloons with trean superglued on as an after thought.....maybe bentzook designed them coz sliks r so good on rock, but they decided to change them halfway though

nice 1 Tim and if he was the d.i.c.k wearin the chrome sunnys at We rock over the weekend he would of seen 37" and 39.5"s actually sidewall flexing ON ZOOKS ..................... aswell as buggys ....

Or maybe his camera only takes pics of tyres when there in the air thus showing no sidewall movement
