early SJ410 xfer to sj413 config

Post by nicbeer »

What does it take to swap an early sj410 box with the smaller flanges to a NT 413 drivline. I have a sj413 xfer with the handbrake on the back of it and the 410 has as well. I would have to swap these over.

I also think the spines are smaller but not too sure on that?

cheers

My understanding is that the early 1.0lt transfer case had smaller input shaft and hence flanges are not intchangeable with 1.3lt case but the late model 1.0lt 84 model had interchangle flanges and the lower gearing.

The 1.0lt case has a 12% reduction in high range as per the rock hopper and I am not sure about low range but that is better but the 1.0lt also rolled on 4.11 diffs and yours are more than likely 3.9 so the overall effect is better but not as good as the 1.0lt combo.

cheers
