Ford Mav's Childrens Liver Research Fundraiser BBQ

Post by ford mav »

Hey Guys and girls. Just a little brief on this event and then a link to the original Thread. My name is Frank and i have a 20 month old Boy - Joseph - who unfortunately requires a liver Transplant due to it not functioning correctly.

Now this fund raiser is not to raise money for me, as that is already covered. What it is for is for Research into this Syndrome/disease my Son and many other Children have. Called Allagilles Syndrome. What i am doing is basically organising a BBQ to raise as much money as possible and then hand it over to the Doctor Incharge of the Medical Section of the Liver Clinic. I want all this to be done with the Media around so the public can also see that we are not about running kids over but rather Kind and Generous People who care about the young in our community. If anyone knows of Anyone who works or deals with media ( TV or NEWSPAPER) THEN PLEASE forward this Date to them to see if we can get some coverage.

Please PM me if you are interested. Also, if i get people wanting to donate money coz they cant make it i will organise a Bank account and talk to the right people about doing it legally. Here is the rest of the thread from 4wdmonthly. Your time is greatly appreciated.

Send your plight to radio stations, and TV yourself. I did it for the Dylan one, and got phone calls from Radio, it was just that a tidal wave I think it was hit the same time we were tryin to raise funds

Lets hope there is no Tidal Wave Bogged. My intentions are to get as much publicity as i can. I have made a phone call to Penrith Council and waiting for a response to use the Reserve behind The Jamieson Hotel

This sounds like a great opportunity to help a good cause and also get some great publicity for 4WDer's. It would be great to have the media cover 4WDer's in a good light for once with no Harold Scruby or Today Tonight slander.

If not anything else it sounds like a good chance for a ramp day, a few snags and a few bucks.

I'll shoot ya a PM mate ;)
