Strangely there are no future mod's planned for either of these cars, unless it is to reduce fuel consumption.

Now I have figured out how to post pics I will put up some of my Rangie.
It is an 89 model with a ZF Auto. I have replaced the worn out borge warner transfer case with hopefully a better LT230 transfer case and I have recondition the auto.
Existing mods are mags with a centre offset perfectly suiting my setup. I have butchered my guards to fit the tyres and prettying it up is still a work in progress.
33 inch tyres that are going to have to come off until I also do the Toy centre conversion. (Too many broken rover diffs, not the crown wheel and pinion but the centre pin on 2 and the side cog thingos on 1).
I am probably sitting a bit under a 2 inch lift because I have soft 2 inch coils in the rear and a 120L fuel tank weighing it down. On the front is standard rear Rangie coils that were sagged because they use to hold up that 120L tank so she sits quite level. I sell suspension and I only bought 1 pair of coils for it. I have Cruiser shocks in the front and Patrol shocks in the rear with the pin to eye converison.
There is no body lift as yet. I might do a small body lift (maybe an inch) to gain a bit more articulation on compression for both front and rear. It will also make it easier to fit polyairs in the rear for when I eventually go touring with it. It won't hurt for the sill clearances either.
Future Mods
Toy centre conversion with J-Mcnamara axles.
Traction Control up front and a J-Mcnamara locker in the rear.
A decent computer to run all the electrics.
A winch and custom bars all around so I slow down the panel damage.
Sams holey bushes to replace my worn out Rangie bushes
Other stuff when I think of it.

The rear coils have a free height of 440mm instead of about 400mm normally used for a 2 inch lift. I have tied the coils in so I can achieve more flex. It was a bit of an accident really. I had 4 inch lift coils in it and shocks to suit but I was unhappy with the stability on side slopes so I pulled out the 4 inch lift coils and tied the 2 inch lift coils so they wouldn't fall out. The best mod I have done so far. I am going to put slightly longer shocks in it but if I wanted to push it I could go a fair bit longer for more flex.

Okay, I have been a bit quiet of recent times regards to my Rangie, but I have now upgraded to somthing a bit more comfortable, yet still cheap enough to flog off-road.
This 'ere Rangie is an 87 model, Hi-Line spec and of course with all my Rangies, had to be an auto of the ZF variety. Well looked after mechanically with 222K on the clock.
I recently off-loaded the 83 for $2K to fund the purchase minus some 'vital' accesories mainly the maxi-drives and ARB bars. Tyres stayed on there (more than half worn anyway )
Pretty dull and standard, but will fit my maxi's and so forth in due course. Will remain as is ATM mainly because I haven't got a cent left after paying for it. Fot $4K you can't beat that for value.
Well, let the fun and games begin
