I mean at least 37s. I'm not talking extremely agressive tyres like Boggers, but something like 37 Mudzilla or 38 TSL. 39.5 Irok would be nice for extra flotation in the snow though armsup
At this time I do not want to switch to 80 or Patrol axles for the following reasons:
1) loss of clearance because of huge diff pumpkin
2) they usually have 4.1 gears, so I'd have to regear them and that's about 1400USD in parts only
3) they are wide and heavy

As far as I could find out I need to upgrade Birfields, front inner axleshafts and rear axleshafts.

Because aftermarket parts like Longfields are very rare and expensive there ( I do not know even a single person who runs Longfields there, because prices need to be multiplied by 2 against what's seen on http://www.longfieldsuperaxles.com/ ) I wonder if it's possible to adapt stronger CVs from Patrol or 80 series Cruisers?

What has to be done with semi-floating rear axle? Will trussing help to reduce axleshaft bending and associated failures or I need to convert it to full floater (how?)?

Our Bundera`s came out mostly with 4.3,4.56 and rarely had 4.8`s
If your running the bigger tyres only for offroad I would keep the 4.1 and get reduction gearing in the T/Case,And when it comes to strength you will break CV`s but rarely inners or rear axles,so upgrade your front cv`s and fingers x you won`t break axles.

I currently have 4.875 gears default. And I usually drive 50-300kms before I get off the road.
I know that the weakest link in front axle are CVs and they give up before the inner axle. Looks like US made Longfields for Pickups will fit Bundera also.

But what to do with rear end? Full floater conversion requires custom axleshafts and Hilux/Pickup ones won't fit because on Pickup they are of equal size (centered pumpkin) and on Bundera it is right offset.

Why are you getting rid of the bundera rear? Sure the 8" centres are weak but depends how hard you drive and how well you no your truck

Nope, I do NOT want to swap axles. I like them for clearance (small pumpkin), light weight and I already have them :D

I want to run something like 37" Maxxis or 36" Irok for summer and something larger (maybe 39.5" Irok?) for deep snow in the winter.

Looks like for the rear I really don't have any other options except trussing it (hope this helps) and keeping spare axle shafts.

Lets take stakes up :D
What about 39.5" ? NO rockcrawling, mud,swamp and snow only, front not locked, only rear.

What birfs/axleshaft should I use? I would appreciate if somebody can give links to web sites where I can order that stuff (preferrably US).
