Guys, have put 285/75's on the Gu, the spare is on but is really hard up against the body and touches the rear window washer arm. Is it just a matter of fitting washers behind the wheel to make it sit out?

are 285/75's 35's? If thats the case then im going to remove my spacer on my 33... see if it fits. at the moment it sticks out like dogs balls...

285/75's are about a 33". I have one on the back of mine and it doesn't touch the wiper arm and there is a little clearance all round.

Factory steel rim with 285/75/16 and it will rub on the door.
You need spacers behind wheel carrier,so they don't fall off every time you take the wheel off.
Spacers should be at least 12mm.
Old bearings can do the trick

Expensive option, but you can buy a spacer from ARB. It moves the wheel up and out, to give clearance from the wiper (the "out" part) and from the bumper (the "up" part). It also has provision for a light stalk.

As I said above, expensive option - retails around $120.

Kaymar also have a spacer option and I think it is cheaper that $120.

ARB sells Keymar spacers(GU4800 was probobly refering to that)
I've got one but can't remember how much it was

Just get 2 x lengths of stainless 25mm RHS and drill holes in appropriate positions and get some slightly longer bolts, and bolt between wheel carrier and door. Instant spacer, alot cheaper than $120 too...

use double sided tape between spacer and door itll solve any rust or rubbing between the two

33's on factory wheels will rub. Aftermarket such as ROH etc. don't have a problem because of the different offsets. I made rubber spacers for mine.
