Got a old sierra gearbox that has done 230 000Kms

Bearings are rattle as anything but its still running... 4th gear makes no noise, i assume this is because of how the gearbox works, no pressure is on the bearings in this gear..

im pretty sure it be fine after a recondition just wondering how much i could sell it for or expect to get for it!

i see wreckers selling gearboxes that done 180 000kms for like 550... so yeh

be honest guys!

I bought a 2nd hand one for 450 in perth and it had done i believe about 130k out of a 93 model.

For yours about 150 max i would be guessing as in a rebuild you will not know what is needed till you split the case..

mines done 200,000k (92 model) and will be up for grabs soon (just internals)... i'd be grateful to get $100 for it and its in great condition... lol

ah k well i paid $300 for a 2nd hand one out of a sierra that only done 80 000km.

got t-boned at an intersection or something

chucking it in this week got a couple months warranty so if it makes any real strange noises i suppose i be taking it back.
