40# tierod/draglink?? steering upgrade options

Post by shorty_f0rty »

hey guys,

just wanted to put this question out there to get a better idea on the options available for this kind of mod.

I would like to upgrade my std 40# steering (draglink, tierods, etc?) gear, if at all possible, to something a bit more beefier. I know that the 60# powersteer upgrade is a regular mod that uses a combination of 75 and 60# steering components to complete that particular conversion.

but my question is if you have a std 40# powersteer setup at the moment, is it still possible to beef up the other components using 75# gear? if so what bits do you need to do this?

Has anyone done this conversion before? If so, what bits did you use, what are your thoughts on the upgraded components and do you think its a worthwhile upgrade?

any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Im pretty sure the 70 gear is the same. I beefed up all my rods by sleiving them with 5mm'ish tube. But my rods were all bent up anyway so it was a good hammer on fit
