What do you mean by "Tune it to the max"?

Do you want good efficiency or heaps of power with bellowing clouds of black smoke coming from the rear?

You mean to say if I was to do a performance tune on it I will have more black smoke than I have now?
I want an increase in power yes, but I want some efficeincy too and hopefully not alot of black smoke.

He means to say, 'what question are you asking?'

Maybe you should try asking this and not something obscure like (tuning my fuel pump to the max) - WTF does that mean?

Hi, I have a Toyota 2LT (insert year, make and model here). I am wanting better performance and I am thinking that by playing with the fuel pump I can get some.

Is there ways of tuning the pump to increase the performance of my engine?

Are there adverse effects that I should look out for?

Can I do it myself?

Can someone recommend a good diesel mechanic or point me in the right direction as to where I could get this done?

How do I know if my pump is the cause of my power problem, maybe there is something else I should look for?

Suggestions?
