At least one importer isn't importing or even selling the stock they do have because of problems with them, especially with GQ's. They aren't the worst shocks you could get but if you want a good name then you need a proven product that won't play up. The warranty that they do have is only good for a 2 inch lift and a GQ isn't in the book.
Having said that I can get you a set if you want. They have been proven to work well on GQ's when set up with 2 per corner.

So in telling this , youre saying there a POS , but you will still sell them.At least one importer isn't importing or even selling the stock they do have because of problems with them, especially with GQ's. They are vehicle specific.YankeeDave wrote:where from? thats a good price? what do you think of them?
I have only driven the scout around the block once so I have no feed back yet.
6 way adjustable so I will have to have good play to give a good opinion on them.

I did a bit of research before I got them and I was going to get the ranch RSX's.bruiser wrote:Problem with the mx6?
Or pro comp in general?
From the feed back people don’t like the procomp, I didn’t find much negative feed back on the MX6's and quite a few positive reports.
They are mono tube to stay cooler and run upside down to help with dents and un-sprung weight.
The other thing I found out was that there very few makers of shocks around the world and most shocks are just branded to suit the wholesaler.

Bruiser, es9000 Procomp shocks are 2nd to none. There is no problem what so ever.

I am sure a Zook wouldn't hurt a flee but I will check with supplier for availability if you were interested.
Indeed you may not have any probs on a larger 4wd unless you give it some in competition. I can't see you having any probs on a 2 inch lifted rig but most people want them for a bigger lift.
The US does not have Patrols and these shocks are only warranteed for what they were designed for.
Yes they are vehicle specific because there is only a 20% variation in adjustment so it is just for fine tuning.
No morals would be to sell them to someone saying they are great. Some people will want to buy something knowing the risk and may serve them well. So far I have never sold a pair because I have been able to talk them out of it. I then tell them to buy Tough Dog shocks(If over a 2 inch lift and being adjustable is necessary) and they and have a good warranty. Having said that, I don't recommend Tough Dogs for nearly all situations but those that have them will rave about them until there is a failure and their rig is off the road waiting for warranty. (By the way I don't sell Tough Dog or Rancho shocks).
P.S. They are probably fine for a smaller rig.
P.P.S. When I hear they have ironed out these problems then they are back on the drawing board.
If you want a 2 inch lift and adjustable, I would recommend Koni's. (I will be testing a pair of RAW4X4 shocks early 2006.)
For a lifted Patrol I recommend either Dobinsons or Procomp shocks. You will never have a problem with them.
If you have dollars and want to spend it for a 2 inch lift I recommend Bilsteins or Koni if you want adjustable.
If you have a leaf sprung vehicle I recommend EFS shocks. They are actually the same shock as Lovells except cheaper in price. They are good because they stay with the bigger 35mm bore unless they physically can't fit. If you want a limited lifetime waranty I will recommend Oztec shocks (same manufacturer as TJM shocks but different valving) or Procomps(es9000)

I suppose there is a 1st for everything. I can see why you made this statement but for anybody who knows me, they will tell you that there isn't anything further from the truth but don't worry there is no offense taken.BentZook Said
