Over the weekend playing on the sand hills my 4 speed (lt95) jumped out of high range and also on the road to the sand once.
I put it in high and when holding pressure on the leaver started of and pushed the cluch in and felt it move back a bit more.
So i would like to know if this needs seeing too? thanks

Jumping out of high range
Moderator: Micka
mine used to do the same thing prety easy fix depending how the teeth on the high/low dog clutch are. but normaly get too much end float and the fork needs ajusting. end float is ajusted with shims and the fork is ajusted with a lock bolt just losen it off and ajust it. if the dog clutch is fucked i got mine fairly cheap 2nd hand about 120 bucks. real simple transfer to work on once you open it up and have a look from memery all i needed to pull off was the bottom cover plate dident touch the prop shaft or hand brake. if you wanna have a crack at it ya self get a factory workshop manual. not one of these half arsed aftermarket things. hope that helps
range rover & series one landy!
