will 15'' rims fit a GU

hey guys a mate just bought a gu and has heaps of 15'' rims ands he wants to now if they will rub when when hes 4bying or does he have to go with 16'' rims .
hes tried em on the car and they fit but are a bit closer to the calipers and aint sure if they will be ok

Yes, steel ones will fit but as you say, they are very close to the calipers. It would only take 1 rock inside the rim in the wrong place and who knows what damage may be done ...

That said, I think a few guys do run them without issue.

The rims wont move once fitted, so if they arent hittin calipers now, they wont ever.

and no they dont fit all GU's they wont fit late model GUs with the larger brakes

i think a few guys have had brake cooling issues. but yeh, the rock scenario fits as well i supose. i ran 15's for a while.

A lot o fthe comp cars seem to run 15's with gu front ends without any major issues. i.e Trent, Greg Scanlon, Dean Kilmurray and you cannot say they take it easy in the OBC.

i run 15x10's on my gu no worries at all, as you do say though they are a little close on my 75 series they were even closer. just make sure when you come back from trucking you give'm a good wash and just check for rocks and ect.

15" will fit to 3.0 lt and 4.2.
4.8 has larger discs and calipers and 15" rims don't fit
