Toyo Open Country M/T ...

Post by RoldIT »

Just thought I'd post up regarding these tyres as I've seen in a few posts, people interested in them.

I sent Toyo Australia an e-mail asking when/if they would be available in Aus. Here is their reply.
Thanks for your enquiry Kris.
Toyo Tyre & Rubber Australia Limited does plan to import the Open Country M/T pattern into Australia.
Due to production capacity limitations, we have not been able to access this product.
We are hoping to begin importing this product in the second half of 2006.
Regards,

Stephen Burke,
Tyre Technical Officer,
Motor Sport Liaison Officer,
Toyo Tyre & Rubber Australia Limited.

I'd say that photo is probably of one of the big ones (ie 38" on 20" rims, etc).

All the tread depths look to be about the same @ 21. I would assume that means 21/32 of an inch. By my calcs that's over 16mm.

Proportion is relative ... :D
