Service Costs!!!!!

Post by muttley »

Far out man!!! Just found out my 120,000 service is going to cost $950 at Nissan.

Can anyone recommend a place for services on the northside of Brissie where I can get it done reliably and cheaper. I also have an oil leak that needs attention. Think I might have been a bit rough with the waterblaster last time I used it underneath

Well, had my service done today at Boab 4x4 at Lawnton. Only $650 all up which I was happy with. But found out my rear main seal is leaking. Apparently a big job to fix and will cost around $400 for 7 hours work. Its not leaking to bad yet but will need to be looked at sometime soon. Bugger. They reckon the mud gets into it and wrecks it. Now Mrs Muttley reckons I should stay out of the mud

Will check 'em out as I now need other work done. Boab 4x4 were good though. Have some issues I need to follow up with 'em first though.

Just gets better and better :bad-words:

I also have a leak in the crankshaft seal and the turbo pipes have gotten real soft and are playing up (maybe). Had a problem the other day on the way out of Landcruiser Mt, being so hot all day, I think the turbo sucked the pipes closed. After it all cooled down a bit under the hood, everything was fine. Was speaking to Dave at 4x4 excellence about my problems and he said that is pretty common with the standard pipes. Silicone would be better apparently.
