Had the paj dynoed before the mod's and after on the same dyno.

Is making 210kw and 450nm of Tq @ the engine on 5psi of boost, so has plenty left but this is all i need. Has a nice flat Tq curve, perfect for offroad and return's factory like fuel econemy, depending on the right foot of course :)
Has 3 maps in the computer which can be changed to suit the type of unleaded being used, makes about another 20kw @ the engine on BP ultimate.

Do you have any high quality pictures of the setup?
Like pictures on the intake manifold and throttle body setup, mounts for the blower, plumbing of the intercooler and the like.

Do you have the CAPA kit in the garage, or did you flog that off?

EDIT: I just looked at the CAPA pictures and it appears you have still got a few of those parts on there... large pictures would be nice none the less :D

Hi mate,

thats great.

last time I rang CAPA they didnt sell the kits for Pajeros 3.5 anymore.

Couldnt get them anymore they reckon, thats the Alpine kit ie,

yours dont look like the Alpine kit, is it a gerneric kit.?

Its not a centrifugal blower, that I can tell.

What about rego & insurance??

It must fly being a shorty & with those power & torques specs!

cheers

Their the best pic's i have at the moment, will be able to take some more shots of the intakes and plumbing etc but hard to get a shot of the mount for the blower as the battery's get in the way.

The only part left from the CAPA kit is the manifold in the 'V' which has also been modified as if you look at the CAPA kit it isn't intercooled.

Everything else had to be custom made unfortunately which is a fair bit of mucking around, especially the belt setup, as the idlers supplied with the CAPA kit only allow for using the original 4 rib P/S belt, which has know where near enough grip to spin the blower. So i had to change all the idlers, P/S pulley and fan pulley so i could run a 6 rib belt.

So the CAPA kit got hacked up and the smaller blower they supplied was traded for a bigger M90 unit, which works a treat now. Sold the Uni chip piggy back computer to the guy's that custom made my Autronic plug & play ECU, which is a much better and tuneable setup.

Think CAPA stopped bringing those 'Alpine' kits in not long after mine as they were heaps of trouble. Rego and insurance is no prob, had it approved by an engineer after i completed the install and Shannon's insured it for an agreed value so its all good. :)

Cheers

Well you seem to have covered everything & sounds like you certainly know your stuff.

What about the cost $$$ , I'm sure this wasnt cheap!

Yeah wasn't cheap, the original CAPA kit was 6K, so as you can prob guess it has blown out big time after all the custom work, ECU etc...
But pretty happy with it now, fun factor helps it hurt a bit less :)
